Homemade Hummus
Serves: 8
Ingredients
2 cups chickpeas
2 garlic cloves, crushed
½ cup water
¼ cup tahini
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
2 tsp cumin
Parsley leaves for garnish
Directions
- Place chickpeas and garlic in a food processor, pulse until chopped.
- Add water and remaining ingredients; pulse until smooth, scraping down sides as needed.
- Place hummus in serving bowl and garnish with parsley. Serve with fresh vegetables and whole grain pita.
